About Woodflex Designs

A small furniture workshop built for custom work, not catalogues.

Woodflex Designs is a manufacturing studio in Surat. We don’t run a design agency or a giant showroom. Architects, interior designers and homeowners bring us drawings, references or 3D views – we turn them into finished furniture with the right wood, polish and joinery. Every piece is built in small batches, inspected by hand, and delivered with the mindset that it should survive moves, kids and real life.

50 years of furniture-making experience behind us.

Made in Surat, delivered across India.

We deliver to Surat, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Nagpur and Rajasthan.

Who we’re for

For architects & interior designers

  • You own the design. We focus only on execution.
  • We work off DWG, PDFs, moodboards or even rough sketches with sizes.
  • You get material options, realistic timelines and transparent costing.
  • Need 1 prototype or 30 pieces for a project? We’re set up for both.

For homeowners

  • When store catalogues don’t match your space, we build to size.
  • You can start with a reference photo and basic measurements.
  • We help you choose wood and finishes that will actually age well.
  • Once a piece is delivered, we stay available for touch-ups and repeats.

How we build

Kiln-dried wood

We build in kiln-dried (KD) solid wood, including Ghana teak, Valsad teak, Burma Border teak, walnut, acacia and white ash. Kiln drying removes moisture before the wood is cut, which reduces warping and cracking later.

Mortise-and-tenon joinery

We use mortise-and-tenon joinery, and 99% of our joinery is adhesive-based rather than held by nails and screws.

Foam and lining

We use foam from Sleepeeze and Century, chosen to suit the design. Every seat gets at least 2 inches of foam at a minimum of 40 density, with Recron in every seat. A latex layer can be added depending on your budget. We use full-size foam sheets, never offcuts, and a 500–600 GSM Majarpat lining under the upholstery.

3-year warranty

Our furniture carries a 3-year warranty.

Why teams trust a small workshop

Direct access to makers

You talk to the people who actually build your pieces.

Custom over compromise

Dimensions, wood and polish tuned to your project, not forced products.

Quality over volume

Solid frames, clean joinery, hardware we’d use in our own homes.

Predictable outcomes

We’d rather say no than over-promise on timelines or complexity.
